We also support our commitment to the travel insurance community as a founding member of UStiA. The US Travel Insurance Association (UStiA) is a national membership association of insurance carriers, third-party administrators and allied businesses involved in the development, administration and marketing of travel insurance and assistance products and promotes fairness, integrity and a commitment to excellence in the travel insurance industry.

In January of 2019, Trip Mate was acquired by leading global Travel Insurance provider Europ Assistance (part of Generali Group), which operates in the United States through its subsidiary Generali Global Assistance (GGA). This transaction moves Europ Assistance to be one of the top three travel insurance providers in the United States, furthering the Group’s position as a leading global travel insurer.

GGA is one of the world’s largest insurance companies with operations in 60 countries and over 71,000 employees. They are a global travel insurance specialist providing us with greater opportunities to leverage resources and provide our clients with more superior specialized services.
